Am Freitag den 29. August wird die neue KM Platte von Adam Port überall online in den Handel gehen. Eine Besonderheit ist die, daß es die Vinyl schon jetzt exklusiv bei uns im KM Shop gibt. Aber damit nicht genug, denn zum anderen ist es nun höchste Zeit für den großen Auftritt der dazugehörenden Testpressung, verpackt als Geschenk für euch.

In the course of the Berlin music Week and on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Cologne based label and artist collective Kompakt, the Kompakt Pop Up Store will be set up in the Ableton headquarter in Berlin Aug. 31 – Sept. 7. Here the full monty.

KM019 Out Soon – Win Testpressing!

Wer oben schon reingeklickt hat weiß, was hier gespielt wird. &ME ist im Tool-Haus! Die beiden Tracks “Shallow” und “Heist” ergeben zusammen die nächste KM-EP. Stichtag ist der 16. August, dann schlägt die Digitalversion in den Online-Stores auf. Die KM019 Vinyl wird in diesem Moment versandfertig gemacht und kann ab sofort auf DEEJAY.DE und DECKS.DE vorbestellt werden.

Auf dem Weg zur Vinyl ist die Testpressung ein entscheidender Faktor. Sie dient als Muster für die Serie und steht entsprechend ganz am Anfang, sozusagen als absolute Erstgeburt. Bevor also eine Platte in Serie geht, erstellt das Presswerk eine Testpressung und verschickt sie an das Label. Hier wird die Scheibe unter genauem hinhören abgespielt und final begutachtet. Wenn alles in Ordnung ist und der Klang den Vorstellungen des Labels und der Artistst entspricht bekommt das Presswerk sein GO.

Diese Muster sind normalerweise unverkäuflich, doch ihre Einzigartigkeit macht sie für uns zu einem perfekten Geschenk. So bleiben wir auch dieses Mal unserem Release-Ritual treu und geben das gute Stück an Euch weiter! Für das Rennen um den Gewinn ist die Comment-Section unter diesem Beitrag die ideale Rennbahn. The appointed Date is August 16th, that’s when the digital version hits the stores. The vinyl version is being prepared for shipping at this very moment and can be preordered on DEEJAY.DE and DECKS.DE already.

On the Way to a vinyl release, the testpressing is a crucial factor. It serves as the serie’s prototype and hence marks the very beginning, as the first born, so to say. So before a record enters mass production, the pressing plant will always send a testpressing to the label for approval. Here the record will be listened to carefully, and if there are no issues and the sound accords to the ideas of the label and artists, the pressing plant will get its GO.

Usually these Prototypes are nonmarketable. But its inimitability makes the testpressing a perfect present. So just as our release-ritual demands, we will pass it on to you! 2012 war ein fantastisches Jahr für keinemusik. Um das in harten Fakten darzustellen, haben wir mal die Rechenschieber rausgeholt und hochgerechnet, dass wir zusammen genommen bis zum Jahresende ungefähr 49.920 Minuten in den DJ-boothes dieser Welt verbracht haben. Nachdem wir uns kurz selber über diese Zahl erschrocken haben, wurde uns klar, wer diese Zeit wie im Flug hat vergehen lassen: ihr.
Und um dafür Danke zu sagen, haben wir euch ein Paket geschnürt, in dem alles drin ist:

Keinemusik X Nike Destroyer Jacket

Jetzt is wirklich Weihnachten! Passend zum Fest wurden unsere Keinemusik x Nike Destroyer College Jacken fertig. Wir sind super glücklich mit dem Resultat! Es war zwischenzeitlich doch um einiges aufwändiger als wir zuerst dachten, da sich in der Umsetzung Probleme ergaben, die teilweise nur durch Änderungen bzw. Kompromissfindungen zu lösen waren. Letztendlich haben wir eine sehr schlichte Jacke designt und diese mit kleinen, feinen Details bestückt. Im Wesentlichen haben wir die Knöpfe graviert, das Innenfutter ausgetauscht und bedrucken lassen, die Zipper mit eigenem Lederbändel versehen, einen Keinemusik Leder Patch auf die rechte Seite und kleinere Leder Patches an die Ärmel gestickt. Wir hatten erst die Idee, eine klassische College Jacke mit dicken Patches im standard College look zu machen. Aber dann haben wir uns dazu entschieden, eine möglichst reduzierte, immer tragbare “Edel” College Jacke zu produzieren. Wir sind jedenfalls sehr sehr glücklich damit und bedanken uns an dieser Stelle bei Nike für die Möglichkeit und bei allen die mitgeholfen haben, natürlich ganz besonders bei Kathi und Bianca!!

Unser Weihnachtsgeschenk an euch wird mit leichter Verspätung eintreffen. Und zwar werden wir anfang 2011 eine unserer Keinemusik Destroyer Jacken hier auf dem Blog verlosen!!! Also, alle schön artig bleiben!

Hiermit verabschieden wir uns für dieses Jahr und wünschen allen frohe Weihnachten und ein guten Rutsch.

No doubt, it’s Christmas! Just in time for the festivities, our Keinemusik x Nike Destroyer college jackets were finished. And we’re really excited about the result! In the meantime things got a lot more complex than we thought at the start, since the implementation caused problems that could only be solved by changing plans and to compromise. At last we’ve designed a quite classy jacket and assembled it with fine details. Basically, we engraved the buttons, rarefied and imprinted the lining, bedighted the zippers with leather ribbons and attached Keinemusik leather patches on the right side chest and smaller ones on the arms. To start with we had an idea of assembling the jacket with large patches all over to create that familiar college look. But soon we decided to reduce the parts to a minimum in order to produce a simple and “noble” jacket that can be worn at any occasion. We’re very happy with it and like to thank all of our helpers, especially Kathi and Bianca!!

Our Christmaspresent for you will arrive with a slight delay, however. In fact, at the beginning of 2011 we are going to give away one of our Keinemusik Destroyer jackets!!! In this spirit, watch out and behave well!
