Die neueste KM Radio Show unmittelbar vor den Weihnachtsfeiertagen kommt von &ME. Glühweinatmosphäre gibt es zwar so schon genug, aber ein wenig ruhiger angehen kann man die Sache dennoch. Sonst geht für uns alles weiter nach Plan. Abgesehen von ein paar Tagen Auszeit mit der Familie wird mehr oder weniger nahtlos ins nächste Jahr weiter gefeiert, das neueste gibt es immer hier auf dem Blog. Und mit Euch rechnen wir auch, von daher muss schliesslich auch fürs Vorglühen gesorgt sein. Die neue Radio Show streamen, downloaden und teilen wäre eigentlich alles, was es dazu noch braucht.

The newest KM Radio Show juts before Christmas is by &ME. That cosy wine punch atmosphere is all over the place anyway, but it still certainly does not hurt to slow it down these days. However, apart from a few days off with the families, our schedule is basically about partying seamlessly straight into 2014 and all news will be presented here on our blog. And of course we are counting on you, so the warmup has to be taken care of too. Streaming, downloading and sharing the new show is about all there is to do.

Was auch für uns als Überraschung kam ist jetzt bestätigt: Die Workparty Four Picture Vinyl ist in den online Shops so gut wie ausverkauft. Auf DECKS.DE und DEEJAY.DE werden momentan noch Restbestände Versandfertig gemacht. Zwar ist es möglich dass im Plattenladen um die Ecke noch das eine oder andere Exemplar auftaucht, die letzte Lieferung ist nicht allzu lange her. Aber eine Nachlieferung oder gar Neuauflage wird es nicht geben.
Die gute Nachricht: In unserem KM Shop haben wir heute zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch genau 10 Platten aus der Picture Disc Auflage. Wer also jetzt den Entschluss fasst zu bestellen dem könnte es vielleicht gerade noch gelingen, eine der aller letzten KM020 Vinyls zu ergattern.

Soething that also came to us as a surprise is now confirmed: The Workparty Four picture disc is all but certainly sold out in the online stores. On DECKS.DE and DEEJAY.DE the last ones are about to be prepared for shipping right now. Although it may be possible to find one or another piece in the recordstore around the corner, since the last delivery is not too long ago… but there won’t be another delivery and no picture disc repress.
The good news: In our KM Shop we now at this very moment have exactly 10 vinyls left from the picture disc edition. If you decide to order right now you may be able to catch one of the last KM020 vinyls.

Neben einem für mich eigenartig ohrwurmhaften Radio Show drop out “Kel – Irritant”, den ich leider nicht als vollständiges Preview gefunden habe und dem klassischen Stomper “Mr. G – Makes No Sense (Radio Slave’s Shaking The Tree Remix)” der erst gestern auf Rekids re-released wurde, stand aus der Kategorie “was lief im Wochenende” auf die Schnelle noch dieser Track zur Auswahl, der mich auf dem Floor ein wenig über meine Erwartungen hinaus überrascht hat.

Am 29. Oktober 2013 fand bei uns im Studio die Keinemusik Boiler Room Daytime Session statt. Begonnen hatten wir mittags um 13 Uhr, Ende war nach einer Stunde Zugabe um ca. 19:00. Für uns waren es 6 der besten Stunden 2013.
Wer nicht live dabei sein konnte bekommt nun endlich auch die Gelegenheit, sich ein eigenes Bild zu machen. Heute ist der erste Schwung der 5 aufgenommenen Sets hochgeladen worden.

Wer zu Weihnachten noch etwas bestellen möchte sollte allerdings diese wichtigen Informationen zu den Lieferzeiten beachten:

Germany: Orders paid before Dec 19th will arrive on December 24.

Die KM Radio Show heute kommt von David Mayer. Auf dem Cover abgebildet sind zwei Geräte, darunter auch jenes OP-1, welches ärgerlicherweise während unserer Tour im Frühjahr 2013 in Hamburg mitsamt u.a. einem iPad in einer grünen Sporttasche aus der Lobby des Maritim Hotels geklaut wurde. Jedenfalls ist im oberen Bildbereich genau die elektron Machinedrum zu sehen, aus der die 6 grundlegenden Groovetracks der KM020 “A1” stammen. Der Track entstand innerhalb einiger Minuten im Wohnzimmer von unserem Freund und Helfer Marcel, buchstäblich während der Zwiebelrostbraten im Ofen gerade dabei war fertig zu werden. Da auf einmal keiner so recht wusste, wie man angesichts des vertrackten Menüs der Maschine den enstandenen Groove speichern kann blieb der Drumcomputer sicherheitshalber einfach einige Tage an, bis dann irgendwann die Spuren ordentlich aufgezeichnet und zur Weiterverarbeitung per Downloadlink übersendet waren. Als das Zip-File dann ankam war dessen Benennung dem Arbeitstitel entsprechend “machinedrum_calypso”. Unter diesem Namen wurde eine erste Version des Tracks dann von Adam auf RA gechartet. Damit hatte sich die sonst als nächstes anstehende Suche nach einem passenden Tracknamen automatisch erledigt. Und die Suche nach einem passenden Viertel der nächsten Workparty auch… Danke fürs einschalten und ein gutes Wochenende.

The Radio Show of today is by David Mayer. In the lower half of the cover you see the OP-1 that was unfortunately stolen along with an iPad in a green bag right out of the lobby of the Hotel Maritim in Hamburg during our tour in spring 2013. However, depicted in the upper part of the image is the particular elektron Machinedrum, which the 6 basic groovetracks of the KM020 “A1” originate from. The track basically happened within a few minutes in the living room of our friend and little helper Marcel, literally while the roast beef in the oven was just about to get done. But no one could tell exactly how the loops could be safely stored by means of the tricky menu, so the device was simply left switched on for several days to prevent loss, before the tracks were finally recorded and transferred for further action. The Zip-file that then arrived was named accordingly to the working title: “machinedrum_calypso”. In the following Adam charted one of the first versions of the track on RA by simply using that working title. That was when the search for an appropriate name for the track was settled. And at the same time the search for a convenient fourth part of the next Workparty was taken care of too… Thanks for tuning in and have a good weekend.
