Jetzt kaum noch vorstellbar, aber im Dezember waren die 2 Stunden Verspätung nach Graz noch äußerst angenehm. Rampa kam erst später aus wasweissichwoher eingetrudelt und Altmeister DJ Hell hat es gerade noch so zum gemeinsamen Abendesssen geschafft. Der Druck war hoch, da ich im Vorfeld schon via Facebook zum Bierstamperln herausgefordert wurde. Hatte bis vor kurzem noch kein Plan was das ist – küre mich aber trotzdem zum Sieger des Abends, da Jochen gegen mich als Neuling kein bischen besser aussah 🙂 Wer genaueres wissen will fährt einfach nach Graz in die Postgarage – oder in Beates Frühbar. Bis zum nächsten mal!

Almost unthinkable now, but in December a two hours delay to Graz was something to be happy with. Rampa came in even later from wherever, and grandmaster DJ Hell made it to our dinner just in time. I felt the pressure, as I’d been challenged on something called “Bierstamperln” on Facebook in the run-up. Hadn’t ever heard of that before, but I ought consider myself the champion of the evening, since I did quite well compared to much more experienced Jochen 🙂 If you want to find out more on that, just have a trip to Graz and visit the Postgarage or Beates Frühbar. Rampa @ Harry Klein

Pause vorbei, jetzt wird wieder geblöögt.
Harry klein in München kennt man ja auch vom gleichnamigen Label. Ich hab schon nen paar Mal im alten (dirty) Harry gespielt und hatte dann im Dezember mein erstes Mal im neuen Harry. Gute Arbeit! Ein Raum in Raum, auf Federn gelagerter Partybunker auf zwei Etagen mitten in München.

Der perfekte Ort um Sonntags nach den Flohmarktspaziergang nochmal gemütlich einzukehren. Leider konnte ich nicht lange bleiben, da ich einen schönen frühaufsteher Flug nach Warschau bekommen habe. Nächstes mal wird dafür länger gefeiert. Übrigens – meine Mütze wird immer noch vermisst 🙁

Wirklich nen super cooler Club, den die Jungs da auf die Beine gestellt haben! Guter Sound, gutes Licht, coole Lage unter der Brücke in ner alten Autowerkstatt und vor allem sehr schöne Atmosphäre! David und Adam haben da neulich auch gespielt und kamen total begeistert zurück. Jetzt fehlt nur noch &ME… ich glaub der spielt im Januar im Charles Bronson. Und im Februar gibts evt. sogar mal ne Keinemusik Nacht mit der ganzen Bande. Wir freuen uns drauf!

Really a top notch club the boys have got running there! Good sound, good lighting, cool location under a bridge inside a former car repair shop, and last but not least, a perfect wibe! David and Adam also played there one after the other recently, and both came back all exalted about it. The only one missing out till now is &ME… I think he’ll play at Charles Bronson somewhen in January. And in February there even may be a Keinemusik night with all of the gang. Can’t wait!

Rampa &ME in NYC

So, mit ordentlich Verspätung, hier der Post zu unserem letzten New York Trip. Es war eine Mischung aus Urlaub, Auflegen und Albumproduktion. Wenn ich so zurück denke war es echt perfekt. Aufm Hinflug war das Flugzeug so leer, dass jeder ne komplette Reihe für sich hatte, und das Wetter war genau in dieser Woche ungewöhnlich schön. Die Leute, das Essen, bla bla… es war einfach top!
Mir ist besonders die Dusche von Domenik in Erinnerung geblieben… die hatte ne Art digitales Control Center in der Mitte mit dem man Duschmodus, Licht, Radio, Telefon und diverse andere lebenswichtige Funktionen steuern konnte. Crazy ish!!
Im wesentlichen haben wir unser Zeit mit meiner Freundin Soohang und Matt verbracht, beim Shoppen und im Studio. Danke nochma an Morgan und Andrew für die Studio Zeit!!! Wir konnten vier Songs mit Nomi für unser neues Album aufnehmen. Samstag Abend hatten wir dann unsern Gig. Zufällig hatte Ali von Tiefschwarz an dem Abend auch in NY gespielt und so haben wir uns dann natürlich getroffen und ne prima Afterhour zusammen gehabt!
Der Hot Dog von dieser Weltmeisterschaft ist ausserdem der mit Abstand ekelhafteste Hot Dog der Welt… also Hut ab vor dem, der da mehr als einen halben essen kann!!!

Now then, with some delay, here is the report on our last trip to New York. It was a mixture of vacation, clubbing and albumproduction. Thinking back it was as a perfect success. On the outward flight the plain was so empty, we each had a whole row of seats for ourselves, and the weather remained shiny for the whole week. The people, the food, bla bla… it was simply great! One striking memory is the one I have of Domenik’s shower… it had a kind of digital control center attached from where one could operate functions like showermode, light, radio, telephone and all sorts of other vitally important features. Crazy ish!!
Most of the time we spent with my friends Soohang and Matt, with shopping and in the studio. Thanks once more to Morgan and Matt for sharing their studio!!! We recorded four songs for our new album with Nomi. Saturday night we played our gig. By coincidence, Ali of Tiefschwarz played in NY that night too, so ofcourse we met up and spent a nice afterhour together!
By the way, the hotdog of this years world hotdog championship must be the most disgusting hotdog worldwide… hats off to those who are able to even eat more than half of one!!!

Brooklyn Studio Report

Andrew und Morgan von Jessica 6 haben uns am Wochenende freundlicherweise ihr Studio zur verfügung gestellt, damit wir mit Nomi unser Albumprojekt weiterspinnen können. Bewaffnet mit nem USB Stick voller Skizzen ging es dann nach Brooklyn in die heiligen Räume. Endlich mal wieder richtige Knöpfe und Schalter in der Hand – da kann ja nur gutes bei rumkommen ^^.

Andrew and Morgan of Jessica 6 lend us their studio over the weekend, so that we can continue our album project with Nomi. Armed with an USB stick full of sketches, we went to Brooklyn in the sacred spaces. Finally some real knobs and switches in our hands again – so the outcome must be extremely good ^^.

I don’t know what you did last weekend

So oder ähnlich könnten die Aussagen sein wenn sich Rampa und ich gegenseitig nach den nunmehr vorletzten Wochenende erkundigen. Eines hat sich aber durch die Tickets schon vorher angekündigt – 24 Stunden Deutsche Bahn innerhalb von vier Tagen. Berlin-Stuttgart-Haburg-Mainz-Berlin war die Route, also erstmal ab ins autonome Stuttgart, um im Romy S ein paar Scheibchen aufzulegen. Bis auf die Transenprügelei vor dem Club verlief alles ganz friedlich und auch der Sackbahnhof hat keine Anstalten gemacht. Wie aber auch – dank der großzügigen Spende von 2 Euro gehört Stuttgart 21 wohl nun der Vergangenheit an und das Rocker 33 plus die tollen alten Bäume bleiben erhalten. In Hamburg angekommen hiess es erstmal wieder auf Mister Adam Port warten. Nur er schafft es, dass selbst die Züge in denen er sitzt genau 10 Minuten zu spät eintrudeln. Baalsaal war wie immer großartig und trotz Zeitumstellung lang, was sich am nächsten Tag schon stark bemerkbar machte. Denn während Adam schon die Berlin Heimreise anpeilte, rief für Rampa und mich noch das 50grad in Mainz. Allerheiligen stand bei den Rheinland-Pfalzern auf dem Programm und so wurde aus dem Sonntag natürlich auch ein offizieller Feiertag. Hab gerade gemerkt, dass am Ende doch erstaunlich wenig Fotos dabei rausgekommen sind 🙁 waren wohl wieder zu Faul zum knipsen und die kamera vom Rampa ist auch eher Fluch als segen. Kauf dir mal nen neue!

This is how to describe the conversations between me and Rampa after the forelast weekend. But one thing was clearly to be seen on the tickets beforhand – 24 hours of travelling with the Deutsche bahn within only four days. Berlin-Stuttgart-Haburg-Mainz-Berlin was sheduled, so off to autonomous Stuttgart spinning a few records at Romy S. Except for the tranny fight in front of the club everything remained peaceful, the train station functioned like it should. Thanks to our donation of 2 Eouros Stuttgart 21 will probably be put a rest instantly, saving the Rocker 33 and all of the beautiful trees from being erased. Having arrived in hamburg we were waiting for mister Adam Port. He must be the only one capable of arranging an exact 10 minutes delay of the train he’s sitting in. Baalsaal was wesome, as always, and long lasting too, which became quite obvious the next day, when we continued to the 50Grad in Mainz, whilst Port got on his way back to Berlin. Related to halloween, Sunday was declared an official hayday in Rheinland Pfalz. Just noticed a slight lack of picture material 🙁 We must have been too lazy taking photos, but anyway, Rampa’s cam is a bad joke. Go get a new one!

Rampa x &ME got Krafted

Die Beatport Chartstürmer des Jahres haben ein neues Label ins Leben gerufen. Kraftek heißt es und soll wohl eher an Pleasurekraft als an den guten alten Ketchup erinnern ^^. Auf dem 4 Tracker ist unter anderem Hugo mit von der Party und liefert mit Nosferatune einen halloweenmässigen Opener ab. So… genug geredet – am besten gleich anhören und magische 13mal auf Beatport kaufen.

The Beatport chart toppers of the year have born a new label. I think Kraftek is more related to Pleasurekraft than to the good old ketchup ^^.
