Ich dachte beim ersten hören dass “Just Dance Baby” mein favorite Track von Sebbo ist, doch auf den zweiten Hör und vor allem im Club habe ich mich in “Elephanze Ce Dance” verliebt. Das ist wirklich ein Wahnsinns Brett. Mega Platte!!
Hearing it for the first time I thought “Just Dance Baby” would be my favourite Track by Sebbo, but hearing a bit closer and above all by experiencing it in the club, I fell in love with “Elephanze Ce Dance”. That really is a mad piece. Big tune!!

Souvenir Weihnachtsfeier @ Cookies Cream
Frohe Weihnacht! Sehr frohe… Letzten Dienstag waren wir mit der kompletten Souvenir Mannschaft im Cream essen, dem Restaurant vom Cookies. Als uns gerade die Vorspeise serviet wird kommt ein Kerl rein, der Radioslave verdammt ähnlich sieht. Au, das is Radioslave. Und hinten links im Eck , das is doch Daniel und der daneben is Sascha Funke – Die BPC Weihnachtsfeier auch im Cream? Dann meinte Andre, schau mal da, da is Richie Hawtin, und tatsächlich saß am Tisch gegenüber die Minus Bande versammelt. Das Restaurant bestand sozusagen nur aus DJs. Die Stimmung wurde von Stunde zu Stunde und von Flasche zu Flasche ausgelassener. So ab zwölf Uhr hat Sascha dann zusammen mit Nina Kravitz unten im Cookies ein super Set aufgelegt. Danke Ali und Basti, es war wirklich ein sau cooler Abend!
Merry Christmas! Very merry… Last Thursday the whole Souvenir crew had dinner at Cream, which is the restaurant of Cookies. Just as the appetizer was about to get served, a dude came in looking very similar to Radioslave, who he actually was. And back there in the corner was Daniel, sitting right next to Sascha Funke – The BPC Christmas party at Cream, too? Then Andre pointed out Richie Hawtin, sitting at the opposite table together with all of the Minus bunch. The restaurant was completely filled with DJs. The good mood increased hour by hour and from bottle to bottle. Around twelve, Sascha and Nina Kravitz started playing a perfect set down at the Cookies. Thank you, Ali and Sebastian, it really was a great evening!
Rave On Snow behind the Rave Pictures
Dem Lockigen sei Dank haben wir erstmal unseren Flug verpasst. Die nächste Maschine is dann 5 Stunden Später geflogen. Lohnte sich nicht nochma Heim zu fahren, also schön im Airport gammeln und ranzen. In München angekommen sind wir dann zusammen mit Johnny D, dessen Gepäck irgendwie verspätet ankam, die zweieinhalb Stunden nach Saalbach gefahren. Ein “Dorf”, das eigentlich nur aus Hotels und Menschen bestand. Ab aufs Zimmer, Koffer auspacken, Ka*ken und los gings. Auf dem Dorfplatz hat Chris Liebing live gespielt. Danach haben wir im nahegelegenen Iglu aufgelegt. Am Samstag Nachmittag mussten wir dann voller Entsetzen feststellen, dass unser Plan, nach dem Auflegen Ski fahren zu gehen, einfach nicht durführbar war. Zu fertig! Naja, am Nächste Tag haben wir es zumindest geschafft, auf den Berg zu gondeln, wenn auch nur in Straßenkleidung. Party Fotos gibts haufenweise im Netz, darum posten wir lieber ein paar Fotos von abseits der Partypiste.
Thanks to Mr. Hair we missed our flight right at the start. The next departure was just as late, so there was nothing left to do but bumming around at the airport for five hours. Having arrived in Munich we took the two hours journey to Saalbach accompanied by Johnny D, who’s luggage had belated somehow. The place turned out to be a village consisting of hotels rather than normal houses, with people running around everywhere. We hit the room and had a quick s*t, before whitnessing Chris Liebing playing live at the village square. After that we played at the igloo near by. On Saturday we unfortunatelly had to abandon our plan of skiing after playing, due to severe exhaustion. In the end, we at least managed to take the lift up the mountain… As the internet is currently plastered with partypics, we posted some photos from the offside of the partypiste.

Keinemusik beim Nike Air Max 1 Bloggergipfel
Was liegt beinahe genau zwischen Nikolaus und Heiligabend? Air Max 1! Im Niketown iD-Studio kann man sich ab sofort wieder den Air Max 1 in den eigenen Lieblingsfarben customizen und aus diesem Grund wurde die bloggende Zunft Berlins im Niketown zusammen getrommelt, um herauszufinden, wer wohl die freshe Brise, die über den Kudamm wehte, in ein freshes Sneakerdesign übersetzen kann. Eine schöne Idee, die zur Folge hatte, dass sich das ganze mitunter anfühlte wie ein vorweihnachtliches Kaffeekränzchen. Und natürlich auch, dass möglicherweise an der einen oder anderen Stelle etwas Ähnliches zu lesen ist wie hier.
Nachdem alle Parteien ihren Modellen den letzten Schliff verpasst hatten, war von monochromer Sophistication bis zum farblichen Amoklauf (Hands down für das Modell ‚Jamaican Dream’ aus dem Hause Looky Looky!) eigentlich alles vertreten. Das ganze spielte sich wie folgt ab:
What happends almost right inbetween St. Nicholas’ Day and Christmas? Air Max 1! At the Niketown-iD studio it is now again possible to customize one’s own Nike Air Max 1. On this occasion, the blogging community of Berlin was invited there to capture the fresh breeze blowing around the korners of Ku’Damm and transfer it into some brand new sneakerdesigns. A very nice idea, which applied a certain feel to the whole thing, something more like a pre-christmassy cosyness, and it is likely to presume that other reports on this topic will sound quite similar to what’s written here.
After all teams had finished their designs, one could find anything from monochrome sophistication to truely colourful rampage (hands down for the ‘Jamaican Dream’ by Looky Looky!). This is how it all went down:

Als ich am Ende des letzten Sommers mit den beiden Jungs von Soul Clap essen war, hatte ich sie irgendwie überhaupt noch nicht auf den Schirm, betreffend ihrer Releases. Um so mehr habe ich mich gefreut, als ich von Till von Sein einen HAMMER Track bekam mit dem Stempel “Soul Clap Remix”. Das ist echt ein BIG TUNE!! Gut gemacht Boston Crew!! I love it! Brrahhh!!!
When I was having dinner with the two guys of Soul Clap somewhen at the end of last summer, I did not yet have them in mind concerning their releaes. Thus, it struck me even more when Till von Sein gave me a CRUSHING track marked “Soul Clap Remix”. That really is a BIG TUNE!! Well done, Boston crew!! I love it! Brrahhh!!!
Berlin DJ blowout
Gerade beim planlosen durstöbern meines sagen wir mal halb ordentlichen Fotoarchivs entdecke ich drei Fotos, die ich schon fast vergessen hatte. Im Sommer 2008 hat Florian Kolmer über 70 Berliner DJs auf dem Weekend Dach fürs Bang Bang Magazin vor die Linse genommen. Damals hatten wir ja noch keinen Blog, darum kommt der Post jetzt mit knapp eineinhalb Jahren Verspätung. Aber besser spät als nie.
Es war total cool, mit Bier und echt guter Stimmung! Mit dabei waren u.a. auch Ali Schwarz, Anja Schneider, 3000/Dirt Crew, Clé, Dixon, Ellen Allien, Florian Meindel, Holger Zilske, Kiki, Michi Beck, Modeselektor, Oliver Koletzki, Pan-Pot, Paul Kalkbrenner, Prosumer, Sascha Funke und unsere zwei Nasen, Rampa + &ME. Eine sehr schöne Erinnerung. Schade, dass sowas immer so schnell vorbei geht. (Auf die Bilder clicken um sie groß zu sehn.)

Just, whilst looking through some of the old photos of my rather halfway sorted archives, I found three Photos I had almost totally forgotten about. In summer 2008, Florian Kolmer had more than 70 Berlin DJs gathered in front of his lens for the Bang Bang Magazine on the rooftop of the Weekend building. We didn’t yet have a blog back then, so the post now arrives with an almost one and a half years delay. But better late than never. It really was great fun, there was enough beer and excellent vibes! Down to represent were, amongst others, Ali Schwarz, Anja Schneider, 3000/Dirt Crew, Clé, Dixon, Ellen Allien, Florian Meindel, Holger Zilske, Kiki, Michi Beck, Modeselektor, Oliver Koletzki, Pan-Pot, Paul Kalkbrenner, Prosumer, Sascha Funke and the two of us, Rampa + &ME.
