Selbst Adam, dem alten Gurtenfestivalhasen, hat es die Sprache verschlagen, als wir aus dem Colin McRae-Shuttle ausgestiegen sind. Der ausverkaufte Berg hatte einiges zu bieten – nicht nur den Blick auf ganz Bern, sondern auch Bands wie Babyshambles, Gossip, The Kooks, The Hives, Skunk Anansie undsoweiterundsofort. Geraved wurde dann in den Dance Tents und die waren mit einer Kapazität von maximal 400 Leuten knüppeldicke gefüllt. Kein Wunder bei 20.000 feierwütigen Festivalgängern. Leider hatten wir wieder mal die Badesachen vergessen und so konnten wir wie immer nur zuschauen, wie andere sich in dem wohl karibischsten Fluss die Schweissfüsse badeten. Wird aber auf jeden fall nachgeholt.

Even Adam was knocked for a loop when we dropped out of the Colin McRae shuttle, altough he’s an old Gurtenfestival stager. The sold out mountain had it all on hold – not only the splendid view over all of Bern, but also bands such as Babyshambles, Gossip, The Kooks, The Hives, Skunk Anansie yada-yada-yada. The rave took place in Dance Tents, which were capable of around 400 people only and crammed to the utmost. No wonder, given the 20.000 party people around. Unfortunatelly, we once more forgot to bring our bathing suits, so as always, we could do nothing but watch the others refresh their sweaty feet in the probably most caribbean river ever. That’s going to be a lesson for next time.
