Keinemusik Hand in Hand at Stattbad Feb 27th

Der Ort für die erste große Keinemusik-Nacht des Jahres ist nun schon zum dritten Mal, also sozusagen: traditionsgemäß, der heimische Fliesenboden des Stattbades. Dieses Jahr und zwar ganz konkret am 27.02. wird aber alles noch größer, noch feuchter, noch ausufernder. Diesmal wird nicht nur der Pool bespielt, sondern auch der Boiler-Floor. Und damit sich keiner verläuft, wurde der Abend unter das Motto “Hand in Hand” gestellt. Soll heißen, jeder KM-DJ spielt ein B2B-Set mit einem Künstler, der ihm besonders nahe steht. Und das wird ein erlesenes Händchenhalten. Mit dabei sind Nic Fanciulli, Catz ‘N Dogz, Re.You, Till von Sein und Terranova. Oder anders: Die bestbesetzte Keinemusik-Party aller Zeiten. Once again, the venue for the first big Keinemusik night of the year is common ground – it’s the tiled floor of Stattbad. But this time, on February 27th, we’re upping the ante a bit more and playing not only the pool, but also the boiler floor. And as a premiere, it will be the first so called ‘Hand in Hand’-party, meaning: every KM DJ is playing a b2b set with an artist of his choice. And it’s going to be an exclusive holding hands. Guests will be Nic Fanciulli, Catz ‘N Dogz, Re.You, Till von Sein and Terranova. In other words: the best staffed Keinemusik-party ever. Mark your calendars!

New York Times 102

Der New York Trip hätte nicht besser beginnen können. British Airways kam mit einem neuen Entertainment System um die Ecke, welches die 8 Stunden Flug nur so verpuffen lassen sollte. Leider gab der Kapitän kurz nach dem Start bekannt, dass es Probleme mit dem System geben wird und so blieb für alle nur 1 Film und sechseinhalb Stunden Pong übrig. Die ersten Tage sind wir sehr entspannt angegangen – einfach mal rumlaufen und Essen war der Tagesplan. Man hätte eh nichts anderes machen können, da es so drückend heiss und schwül war, dass selbst das Liegen im Park anstrengend wurde. Zum Wochenende beruhigte sich das Wetter einigermassen und wir könnten mal ohne Schweissränder aufs Electric Zoo Festival, um Nic Fanciulli und Konsorten kurz Hallo zu sagen. Danach folgte die inoffizielle Zoo Aftershowparty von mir und die offizielle Party von Tanzmann und Buttrich gepaart mit einigen Studiotagen, damit die Finger nicht einrosten. Soooo – mehr hört ihr die Tage – muss erstmal meine Stimme für die Karaoke nächt ölen 😉

The New York trip could not have started better. British Airways provided with a new entertainment system which would let the 8 hours flight pass in no time. Unfortunately the captain informed us right at the start, that there may be difficulties in keeping the system running, and so we all ended up with one movie and six hours of Pong. The first days passed stressless – walking around and eating was pretty much the deal. Although we didn’t have much of a choice really, since the weather was so hot and humid that even laying in the park was exhausting. The temperature went down towards the weekend, and so we could visit Nic Fanciulli and co at the Electric Zoo festival with dry armpits. Next up was my inofficial aftershowparty, followed by the official party of Tanzmann and Buttrich, combined with a few days at the studio to keep the fingers from rusting in. Well – you’ll hear more within the next days – got to oil my voice for the karaoke night now 😉

Nic Fanciulli plays “&ME – Youth”

Der Sound des Videos is leider etwas beschissen, aber egal. Samstag Nacht haben wir Nic Fanciulli im Berghain besucht und bisschen mit ihm, seinem Bruder Mark, Mahar und Spencer Parker abgechillt und gefeiert. Zum Schluß seines Sets hat Nic “Youth” gespielt… es ging total ab!

The sound of this video is crappy, but that doesn’t really matter. Saturday night we visited Nic Fanciulli at Berghain to hang out and party with him, his brother Mark, Mahar and Spencer Parker. At the end of his set, Nic played “Youth”… it went over the top!
